Ahh, finally had some time to update!
We arrived in Reus, south of barcelona flying Ryanair, and since we didn't give them too much chances to rip us off turned out to be pretty good value for the money. At 10pm, we were the only ones on the bus to nearby town of Tarragona, meanwhile the bus to barcelona was jam packed.

Getting off the bus we found our way to our hotel. There was a very peaceful feeling in the town. Tarragona turned out also to be famous for human pyramid contests.
The next day was super nice. Perfect weather for running around and exploring. Actually I didn't know we'd be so close to the sea. Near where we were staying it was elevated with great views of the ocean.
This is the first small town of our trip and its such a breath of fresh air! The streets were spacious, quiet and very peaceful.
There are some old Roman ruins about.
This is an Roman ampitheatre by the sea.
funky building.
We wandered around for a good few hours before we conjured up an itinerary for the day.
It was nice just to grab some pastries and kick back somewhere - here we were doing so near this nice old church.
We saw a few buildings around which were under wraps like this. I'm not sure if it is for renovation, protection or infestation.
Jumping photo!
We went to a beautiful cathedral with an inner cloister... I am taking notes for my dream home.
Heres a rose inside the inner cloister.
The cathedral under maintainence.
Ahh its bright outside!
Meow!
Had lunch nearby - it was hard choosing a meal when you don't want to get ripped off, and no English menu. I accidently ordered an entire platter of cheese instead of 'mixed tapas' at this cafe! It was pretty tasty... although it took a while before we felt normal again! Grace had some seafood paella.
Wall journey! Tarragona's history is heavily invested in the fortification of the city, and as a fresh observer they seem to be fruitlessly building walls upon walls, and having them torn down by invaders for the past 2000 years.
A strange dog statue of human babies suckling a dog... Grace is horrified!
Joe is intrigued!
Aww poser!
Tarragona is a nice peaceful town! A wonderful break from big cities! Next stop, barcelona!
